King of Jinns
Hazrat Abu Sa'd Abdullah bin Ahmad said, once my daughter Fatima disappeared from the roof of the house. I got worried and went to the King of Baghdad, Hazrat Sayyiduna Ghaus-e-Azam (R.A) and asked for help. He (R.A) said, “Go to Karkh and sit in a deserted place during the night and form a fort around yourself. Think of me and recite Bismillah”.
“During the night, many Jinns will pass by you. Their faces will be very strange but do not be frightened. At the time of Sehri, the King of Jinns will come to you and ask you your requirement. Say to him that Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (R.A) has sent me from Baghdad and I want you to search for my daughter”.
I went to Karkh and followed the instructions of Hazrat Ghaus-e-Azam (R.A). During the silence of the night, horrifying Jinns passed by my fort. The faces of these Jinns were so horrific that I could not bear to look at them.
At the time of Sehri, the King of Jinns came on a horse surrounded by a crowd of other Jinns. He remained outside the fort and asked me what I wanted. I said that Hazrat Ghaus-e-Azam (R.A) has sent me to you. As soon as he heard this, he got off the horse and sat on the ground. The other Jinns did the same and sat on the ground outside the fort. I informed him about the disappearance of my daughter.
The King of Jinns made an announcement amongst the other Jinns, “Who has taken the girl?” Within moments, a Chinese Jinn was captured and brought forward as the culprit. The King asked, “Why did you kidnap the girl from the city of the Qutb of this time, Hazrat Ghaus-e-Azam (R.A)?” The Chinese Jinn trembled and said, “Your Highness! I fell in love with her upon seeing her.” The King ordered the Chinese Jinn to be beheaded and had my beloved daughter returned to me.
Upon thanking the King, I said, “Ma'shaa-Allah! You are a great lover of Hazrat Sayyiduna Ghaus-e-Azam (R.A).” On hearing this, he replied, “By Allah (S.W.T), when Hazrat Ghaus-e-Azam (R.A) looks at us, all the Jinns begin to tremble. When Allah (S.W.T) nominates a Qutb, all the Jinn and humans are ordered to follow him”. (Bahja-tul-Asraar wa ma'danalanwaar, P140, Dar-ul-Kutubul Ilmiyyah)
